About to Purchase LE 7 with package #1 in southern NJ by quato

Best quote received was $24,725...after tax, registration doc fees, etc the total OTD price is $26991. (7% sales tax in NJ) Edmunds TMZ price prior to OTD is $24,079. What would be the most effective way of negotiating a better price?

The 25582 was the cost of the van only---about another $1000 in T,T, and whatever fees---they only charged $189 for their processing fee whereas everyone else here charges $399........after researching the van prices in the area, we could have maybe saved another $500 on the van but we were pleased and the 0% financing was making us very happy. Now, the warranty was sold to us by the finance manager at the dealership--"Denbigh Toyota" in Newport News, VA.....I see the forum rules don't allow names or phone numbers but that info gets you to who and where you need to be......the warranty we bought is a Cost Guard 6 yr/100,000 mi coverage that includes all of the Toyota's maximum warranty coverage and more...it additionally covers items that Toyota doesn't warranty and the deductible is $50----not charged if taken to this dealership for service and also not charged if one is traveling and needs service on the van. Covers rental cars for $36,000 mi. He originally offered this plan at $1350---we sat on it for a week---did research----my husband in the end said he wasn't spending more than $1000 for it and he offered it up at $950. he said his cost was $800 on it---who knows but the price was quite fair in the end--going on what we had read on boards like this. Best car prices always seem to be through the internet dept and I would advise everyone to go that route wherever they are shopping!

Is this a good deal? by mazdax605

Hey guys,

I was just quoted a price on a 06 LE Sienna 7 passenger of $23381 before tax, title, etc. This is a LE with option package #1,and the carpeted floor mats,in any choice of about 5 colors with the red being a bit more due to it having a rear spoiler. We have not seen these vans in person, and have not yet even test driven a toyota, but the price seems good to me.The offer is also with 0% financing,or $1000 rebate. How does this deal sound? Is the LE 7 passenger with option #1 a good value,or should we get the option #2?We are in the market for a van,and have test driven a bunch, but we are on a budget. We would either like around $20k with my own financing or around 22-23 with 0% financing. We are not super picky on options as long as it has ABS,air bags,A/C,cruise,tilt,and power windows/keyless entry.Any help would be appreciated.Alos of note, this quote was through a local MA dealer via the internet.Thanks.

Chris,

I am getting 24103 + TTP for the same van and package. I have not bought yet it yet.
What state are you in, I am in MD.
The Sienna is much more comfortable and smoother compared to the Odyssey which is more sporty.

A little something to put into your buy considerations. CARMAX is selling 2006 Sienna LE at about $200 0ver invoice with a price 9.31% of MSRP. The 2007s are selling at $200 over invoice and 9.17% of MSRP but the MSRPs for 2007 are higher -$1000 or so with the bigger engine and small changes. With the discount or financing for 2006 if you can get a price of 9-10% of MSRP and the rebate or financing and donot care about the small change in engine power you have a pretty good deal. The Sienna is a great car and you'll enjoy the ride. Tanker

From what I have seen the options on 2007 have gone up quite a bit. The '06 Pkg 4 was about $2,800 and it is around $5,500 on the '07. Maybe I am missing something but the only difference I can see is that it adds a second power sliding door on the '07 but that does not seem to justify a $3K price jump.

Plus on the '06 I received a $2K rebate.
