I am slow in reporting my buying experience in Spokane, WA. We purchased a 2005 Sienna package 3, with 8 seats for $500 over invoice, then minus the $600 rebate for final price $100 under invoice. We also had floor mats which were also at dealer cost. We made this purchase at the end of September. We purchased our vehicle from Appleway Toyota in Spokane. We had a very positive expereince with them. We used one of their regular salesman for this purchase. We test drove the vehichle in July, then looked at them again in September before we decided our purchase. We were also looking at the Honda at the time as well. Before we got that price we emailed a bunch of dealers for price requests, we did that from www.toyota.com. We found out using toyota.com it takes approximately 48 hours once you submit your request for toyota.com to forward it to the appropriate dealer. We then called the salesman we had been working with and told him what we were doing and what was his best quote, he got back to us 20 minutes later, with the vehicle we wanted at $500 over invoice minus the rebate for a final price of $100 below invoice. We waited a couple of days to see responses, at the time we did not know about the 48 hour delay and were dissapointed in not getting any quotes, so we called around to dealerships and got quotes that way. No one could come close to that price. Kirkland Toyota tried but they finally said, that is a good price and buy it because they could not match it. Our experience with Kirkland Toyota was positive overall. Very helpful and friendly staff. When we first test drove the vehicle the only price quote I could get from him was MSRP price. We did have to wait to get the vehicle, we were given two choices, we could have the vehicle within a week with about 500 miles, or wait three to four weeks for 30 miles on the vehicle. If we wanted it right away they would have someone drive it up from Oregon, if we waited three weeks it would arrive on a truck. Since we were down to one vehicle and a hectic soccer schedule we decided to get it with 500 miles, and had the vehicle 5 days later, we actually could have gotten it 3 days later, but they did not know it would arrive that quickly and our bank was closed that day. The vehicle came with a full tank of gas. The buying experience was positive, we went in one day to put some money down and placed the order less than 30 minutes, then when the vehicle arrived it took us about an hour to get the purchase done. They did try to sell us various overprice extended warranty packages, which we declined, that person was very polite and did not try to push them on us once we said no. After all the paperwork was signed the salesman spent almost an hour with my wife going over the vehicle and showing how everything, worked which was quite helpful. The salesman was very knowledgeable on how everything worked. A lot faster method than reading the owners manual. A side bonus, we needed 100 pizza'a for a school function and he had contacts with Domino's pizza and we got a killer deal for those pizza's. Much better than the best deal we had at the time. Another side bonus, the sales slip from the Oregon dealership was in the car and showed that they had put a pinstripe on the van that added $89 to the cost. But that cost was never passed on to us. So a small freeby. In hindsight I would have tried to dicker some extra keys and remote control from Appleway before closing the deal. Overall we had an excellent experience with Appleway and would recommend them as a place to go and get a price quote from. Also it was nice to be able to give the salesman the sales instead of going to the salesman for a test drive then buying the vehicle from an internet salesman instead. Guy |

Just reserved a 05 CE 7 passenger for 22,500. After the rebate it will be 21,000. They claim it's $100 under invoice. There's not many of these left in my area so they are having one shipped from Philly for no additional charge (charged a $500 refundable deposit though). They didn't want to give much for my trade in but I don't feel like trying to sell it myself. Overall, I was pleased with the dealership. I haven't signed the papers yet though, so I'll see if they try to sneak in some hidden charges. I'm still not sure if I should pick up the additional warranty though. I think they said it's $790 for 7 yr/75,000 miles.

Replying to: coffmlu (Nov 06, 2005 8:03 am) There are many different additional warranties and even variation in additional warranties sold by Toyota. Make sure the warranty is a genuine Toyota backed warranty and not some 3rd party. The "Platinum" 7 year 75,000 mile $ 0 (Zero) deductible warranty that covers everything but wear and tear ( brake linings, tires, windshield wiper blades, etc.) cost my friend Carl $1,349 BUT the entire $ 1349 is REFUNDABLE at the end of either 7 years or 75,000 miles if the additional warranty was never used. (I have read his paperwork and the actual warranty mailed to him by Toyota.)

I have been looking at the Sienna for a while now. I was just offered $37447 for a 2005 XLE AWD fully loaded (DVD, NAV, leather, etc - not sure of the package #). It only has 100 miles on it. Sticker was 42900, and they had $1500 cash back which was taken off to get the above price (I know I still have tax/tags on top of this). Does this sound fair?? It is the last 2005 XLE they have. Any opinions would be a big help.

Replying to: ramblingwoman (Nov 06, 2005 12:10 pm) I won't tell Carl about pricing. He thought he got a good deal on his 2006 Sienna LE. |

I need some quick feedback please. I live in Orlando where there are 4 large Toyota dealerships. The best price I have found is $27,440 (out-the-door) for a 2006 Sienna LE with package 2 and a dealer-installed 10 1/2" screen DVD system with 4 headsets. They want $1800 additional for a 7yr/100k "mirror" Toyota warranty that covers everything but rubberbelts/hoses etc. Is this a good price? Hurry!

| I'm looking to get an 06 AWD XLE Limited with package 2 (leather, DVD, and Navigation) in NJ. I'm amazed at some of the postings saying they got this for $36k+. The best price quote I got was $38,754 or roughly $500 above invoice. The dealer also gave me a quote for leasing this car for $525/month for 36 months/15k miles. Money factor was .00094 (2.3% interest). However, he asked for $3500 inception fees (out of pocket costs) which includes 1 month payment ($525), tax ($1400) and bank fees ($800). That leaves $775 down. Is the lease a good deal? | |
