FYI - I got my Sienna XLE + option 3 + floor mats w/o leather package for around $27900 from a dealer in Union county of NJ. Is it good?

| Has anyone bought a Sienna LE in Phoenix or surrounding states recently? Any thoughts on dealers to go to/stay away from? I will travel 250 miles (southern Cal, UT, NM, or west Texas) if price is right. Thanks. | |

Replying to: davidsden (Nov 23, 2004 9:58 am) Those prices seem too good to be true! But if they are correct is there any point going anywhere else? I haven't seen better prices posted anywhere by anyone. |

As noted in a prior post, buying at year-end can sometimes increase your savings due to property tax considerations for the dealer. If we don't need the van until May is it possible we could pay less by waiting until then? Or do prices stay relatively level on a popular vehicle like the Sienna until the model year changes? Thanks! |

Dealer quoted me for LE 7 passenger w/ package 2 the price of $24,790 + $300 doc fee + $400 plates. He said this was $250 over dealer invoice. Is this a good deal?

Though i never posted before, I did read all the messages posted in all of edmunds "sienna" forums, in the last few months. I want to say thank you... all. I purchased the 05 sienna le 8 (pass) + Pack.#8 (bx) Inc.z1 & cf for $29.500 [although the best offer i got was $28.950, but the dealers(broker) attitude wasn't worth it (no help or info on car)] I purchased thru williamsburg leasing in brooklyn they've got more experience than most. What can I say about the car! No surprises & no regrets. I think you cant go wrong with toyota. as for the sienna vs odyssey argument. 1.honda's were always more reliable, toyota's more comfortable "lexus" 2.the odyssey is brand new & will be improved & better down the line for sure, but the sienna is already 2nd yr model which i thought is more reliable 3.sienna's 8 pass. seat is wider than odysseys, acc. to my info. If i could afford it I would've purchased both minivans + the lexus ls 430+acura tl+ a lambo.....etc....ferari... Know which dream I'm talking about? Later H. |

I put on a $1000 deposit for a Sienna LE8 with FE, BW, CF packages three weeks ago at a dealership in West Caldwell NJ. One week later the dealer told me they got the car but with BZ package instead of BW, and would charge me $800 more for the difference. I disagree with this price increase, and after some phone calls the sales person (who was relatively new) agreed he was going to refund my deposit. I thought that was the end of story. Now another 10 days past I found out from my credit card that the dealer did not refund my deposit. What should I do in this kind of dispute? I don't see why I should be responsible for an apparent mistake on the dealer's side. Thanks for all advices and suggestions.
