Hello everyone, there is one thing that is for certain about car dealers, that if you let your guard down they will pull a blanket over your head so that you can't see what they are really doing! Do not trust them. Do not become friends with them. Do not fall for the I'm only making $100 in this deal. Above all, do not let your guard down for one second until the deal is done, and you're out of the dealership with your new vehicle. The deal I posted on 487 did not come through. Deland Toyota, promised the vehicle based on those numbers, but when I asked for the buyer's order they added $1095 to it. Making the sale price $32,111.00. Therefore, I would not recommend you dealing with this dealership. Anyway I got a better deal from Stadium Toyota. I sent them the email I got from Gettel Toyota and asked them to beat it. They did! my sell price now is better than before $31,074.00. I must make mention that Gettel Toyota had the best internet sales manager, and she was honest from the beginning. She gave me the lowest price, and I shopped that against everybody else. I felt a little sad, because the other dealers I had to go back and forth. I will highly recommend you to drop your email requests with Angela Shrimplin at Gettel Toyota in Bradenton, FL. I placed my order with Stadium Toyota because they beat Angela's quote by nearly $600. Quite frankly, I would had ignore it for $200, but $600 is a substantial difference. Now all I have to do is wait. I will continue to post from time to time. When the deal is done I will post the final numbers in detail.

One last word of advice when shopping through the internet. Once you get the three best quotes, ask the dealerships to fax you a Buyer's Order spelling out every option added with the respective option code. If there buyer's order is incomplete, DO NOT AGREE UNTIL THEY FIX IT! if you agree you will get a lesser equipped vehicle and they will say that you agreed to it, and that the missing option was never listed on the buyer's order. Additionally, that email quote is nothing without the buyer's order to back it up. Once you have an accurate buyer's order they have to deliver. Good luck!

Hi - We are seriously considering an '01 LE or XLE right now. Dealers have PLENTY in stock. Has anyone heard anything about any type of incentives? Factory to dealer cash, lease cash, else? ANY input would be welcome! Please specify rumor, conjecture, etc. Thanks!!!
PS we are in Chicago- Northwest suburbs.

We bought at ATL Toyota and got the LE with convenience package (keyless entry, heated mirrors, etc), rear bumper "thing", and the magical Toyo guard paint package for 23.9K. We also traded in a vehicle, so our out the door cost after trade including tax, title, etc was 22.5.

We definitely enjoyed our purchasing experience there (ask for Natasha), but the interest rates for financing are laughable. Get your own!

NJ 2001 LE by lncd07960

I've had my 2001 LE two weeks now. Purchased through carsdirect.com. Didn't know what to expect, but in the end the experience was not too bad. carsdirect's price for a LE with convenience pkg#2, VSC, side air bags, tow package was appproximately $25,800 or about $450 over invoice. The paper work and pricing was prearranged by the carsdirect agent but in the end, the final deal was handled by a representative of the dealer who will try to sell you things. In my case, I overpaid for a dealer installed alarm system. By the way, don't believe the dealer when they tell you that the VSC only comes in the XLE. They build lots of LEs with VSC.

TR53, could you tell me what their additional fees were, like doc fees or pre-inspection fees? Sounds like a great price - did you have to buy from stock? Was it the dealership in Duluth? Thanks!

I'm running into dealers saying there are no LEs with VSC. Considering CarsDirect route. Did you have to wait or did they find a car? What dealer did you pick it up at in NJ?
