2001 Sienna LE in NH by 1mtseat

Just worked a deal for my in-laws for a 2001 LE for $25,052, plus a $119 title/doc fee. Options were: EF/SK/TO/UN/UR in Red Vintage w/Oak interior for $24,935 invoice & $28,187 MSRP. Bottom line, Grappone was $117 over invoice, and offered the best trade on their 95 Corolla DX Wagon.

Here in NH, they were all willing to deal and it came down to the best offer for the trade. For the same options, Berlin City was at $193 over invoice, Autofair at $132 over, and Irwin at $0 over.

There was some discrepancy between Sienna's built prior to or after Nov 1st...those manufactured after Nov 1st supposedly having a $350 price increase.

Other than that, all were cordial and trying hard to "squeeze" another $100 here and there. Once they knew I hard facts from Edmunds for invoice figures and KBB for the trade, they all stopped talking sticker and started dealing! The process lasted only 2 weeks and ultimately saved $1,600 over the 1st offer!

Do your homework, don't give in and pit them against one another!

Thank you Edmunds!

Have a dealer telling me invoice for a 2001 LE is 25124 with the extra value and LE upgrade package 1 with tow package and theft system. This is does not agree with the invoice figures I've gotten from Edmunds and Consumer reports. Dealer says those sources often get invoice wrong.
Dealer willing to unload an LE with the two above mentioned packages plus an entertainment center and tow pack for 26500.

Thanks to the info in postings #413,
I purchased a Sienna LE from Jerry Campbell
(925-381-8043)of Toyota Walnut Creek this afternoon.
They are having a special sale of 23,998 (with UN,TO,EF options) for LE
In addition, there is a special toyota finance with 3.9%/3yr to 5.9%/5yr
available until Jan 2, 2001. Jerry was very professional, and pleasant to talk with.
The price excludes tax, license and document fee (document fee is $45).
Jerry told me that he still has several LEs on the lot, but the sales together
with the special finance will end on next Tuesday (Jan 2, 2001).

2001 XLE in Washington Metro area - price by mrsigma

On 12/27/00 I purchased a new 2001 XLE Sienna. The price I paid was $25,800 that included freight. The dealership is located in Tysons Corner, Virginia (Koons Toyota). The starting price was 30K + fees and freight. After some negotiating and many complements to the dealership, I got the price I wanted.

Although the Sienna is smaller than I thought, I think I have made the right decision. I'll be glad to share with you my battle "plan" to get a good price.

I am shopping for an 2001 XLE - found a demo with 4000 miles - sticker is 32,000 - I got them down to their invoice of 28,800. I was pushing to get below invoice.. sounds like you did. I walked out when I couldnt get them below invoice - maybe that was unrealistic.
this van had package #3 plus leather, bumper guard. .

any suggestions?

Interested in 2001 Toyota Sienna LE in Seattle Area by humbow

I'am looking for the best deal on a 2001 Sienna LE. Does anyone know if the dealers are offering the 5.9%-5year financing on the Siennas too? I had a dealer tell me today that it was only on the camrys. I'm really looking to buy tommorow before the deal is up. If I can't get it on the Sienna then I might buy a 2001 Camry LE V6. If anyone has any good info on where to get the best deal from their own experience I would appreciate it.
Thanks

The XLE packaged I bought does not have leather seats, sunroof,6 disk CD, power side doors or the entertainment system. If the demo you looked at has all that for closed to $29K, it may be well worth it.

My advise for you is that you pay a visit to another Toyota dealer in your town and get a best price for the same vehicle you looked before. You will be surprised on the price diference which could go either way. Make sure you mention the "other" vehicle when negotiating a price. I have found out that for most of the time a dealer will much rather give you a "good deal" with one of their vehicles than letting you go to their competition. They need to know that you are doing your homework and that you consider yourself dealing within a buyers market rather than the way around. I did it many times and always being succesfull.

2001 sienna CE and extended warraty by payrew

I read the newsgroup - and checked
the TMV for 12/28
and finally broke down and bought a 2001
CE drive out for $25,500. i had called
another dealuer ship and wanted to pay 25K
driveout they did not call me back. although
they were advertising for 23K in houston without
mentionng the model. taxes were around $1700.
the ven had CE extra value pkg and S1 security
package.

1) i know that i paid 5% approx for the dealership,
in houston toyota dealerships are obnoxious.
some of the sales guys dont even want to talk
properly once the find out that you are buying
   on price or informed.

2) they offered me extended warranty from Toyota for $1150 for 5 yr/75K? whether this is worth it?

3) where can i find cheap financing below 5% ?
the dealership offered me 8.5 % APR.
has anyone in houston got a better deal - its
too late now, just to inform others around me
if they want to go for it. thanks, happy new year

Got the Sienna by dsone

Last night we purchased the Sienna LE for 26484, price includes the UN,UP and TOW package(couldn't seem to get one without it). Also includes the video entertainment system, and cargo net. Tried to get the dealer down to 26200 but he wouldn't take it. Said he was getting only $24 profit, I'm sure this doesn't include his hold back. Also we got $500 free gas coupons over a year; not much but every little bit counts. Got financing of .684 from E-Loan which I discovered from one of Town Hall's postings. A little wary of dealing with an internet bank, but am pre-qualified with my credit union for .725. Did notice a little mark on the passenger side door when I got it home. Will speak to the dealer on Tue. Oh, yeah, purchase was from KOONS Westminster. Very nice sales lady "Jennifer". Deal took about 1 week complete. Sticker "Toyotathon" price was $29,397 down from 30,397. Took one week to get from 29397 to 26484. Car drives like a dream and the kids love it. Hope it lasts like my Corolla's. Just two weeks ago I was sure we'd get an Odyssey. Good Luck to all you deal hunters.
