When I went to take delivery of my Sienna XLE with #14 on March 06, 04 I had a check from my credit union who offered me 4.49% for 60 months. The finance manager in the dealership offered to give me very good rate if I would like to talk to him. Finally he gave me 2.59% but he said that he would like to sell some warranty. Since I was not interested in 3rd party warranties, he gave me toyota platinum 6/75000/0 for $1650. I said that I wanted 7/100000/0 for $825. Finally the deal was made for 7/75000/0 for $860 and finance for 5 years I know that I have not got the best deal for warranty but when look at the deal with financing, I think that I made a good deal. What do you guys thaink? I am in Chicago suburbs. |

rip off is on the strong side. i just wanted to reveal that she lied to you! people often negotiate so hard to have the dealer come down say *$230*, but turn around gave that all back to the financing dept. part of the reason is because there's no published invoice price for the warranty. that's why i posted it to help you and others who will be in the similar situation. i hate to see people paying more than they have to. the difference is more than just $230! what about 7 years instead of 6? also the $50 deductible, that's huge! imagine a few visits to the dealer for warranty repair, you quickly out of pocket hundreds of dollars. i definitely will choose zero deductible. i would like to share the info. however, posting name and number might be against the rule of this board. so if anyone is interested, e-mail me, i will reply ASAP. |

| Could you post the dealership name and the overall experience? Also, was the financing Toyota or a 3rd party bank? Thanks! | |

i send you an e-mail, but was returned for the reason of "User unknown in local recipient table". i tried again, same result. |

| I own a great 2003 Econoline 350 passenger van. Bought new and got a great deal on it. Currently owe about $12,780 on it. The problem is its gas mileage. About 11-12 city & maybe 17 hiway. I knew it had poor mileage when I bought it but I was banking that gas prices wouldn't go above $1.60. WRONG! Anyways, I would like to trade it in on a 2004 Toyota Sienna van AWD. Price is about $31,000. Blue book on my van is around $21,000. I know the Toyota dealer won't budge from the MSRP much. I'm also afraid he won't give me anywhere near the blue book on my van. (why would he want a full size gas guzzler sitting on his lot). I haven't been through the dealer yet to ask questions because I don't want to show my hand yet. Any thoughts on this? What's the experience on trade-ins on the Sienna? Mucho appreciate it! | |
| If you drive at a constant 55-65mph it may get 20mpg or so but thats about it. If you are closer to 75mph then its closer to 18mpg highway. The 24mpg EPA rating is really high based on what I have seen. My XLE AWD gets about 18mpg in >75% highway driving. In the city its 13-15mpg. Its a 4200lb van with AWD so I'm not sure how the EPA got such high numbers for it. | |

The financing is from Chase Manhattan bank and the dealership is schaumburg toyota. the deal was pretty smooth. Internet department was good in communication and delivered the van to me exactly at price negotiated and on time. Since I wanted Arctic Frost Pearl with package 14, floor mats with sil etc, it was not in their lot and I had to wait for 4 weeks before they got one. hope it will help you. |

We picked up a Salsa Red XLE Limited w/option package 5, floor-mats/door-sill protection, and an extra pair of headphones, for $35,750 from Melody Toyota in San Bruno, CA (San Francisco Bay Area). MSRP on this is $37,248. We ended up saving $1500 off of MSRP, which isn't too bad. However, this was about 6 to 7 percent above invoice, which is a bit more than I wanted to pay, but still reasonable, I think, given the demand for this car. We originally wanted an XLE in Stratosphere Mica w/option package 14, but there appeared be none in the area matching that. We briefly considered an LE on the lot that had most of the options we wanted, but realized we would be giving up too many other options that were important to us. Apparently there aren't many Straosphere Micas in the Bay Area, period. Our decision to get the XLE Limited over an XLE came mostly down to color choices. Even though the dealership had plenty of XLE's in stock with most or all of the options we wanted, none of them were in colors that we wanted. We ended up getting more of a car than we meant to because we had to have Red, Blue or Green for a car color. While we could've ordered a specfic model in the options we wanted, we didn't feel like waiting 10 to 12 weeks for it. While we already had financing from my credit-union at 5.45%, the dealer managed to get us 4.82% from Chase Manhattan, so we went with Chase Manhattan. Buying from Melody Toyota for the most part was a pleasant experience. We walked in Monday night at around 7pm and walked out around 10pm with a new car. The dealership closes at 9pm, but they stayed late to complete the deal, and let us leave one of cars on the lot until we could come pick it up the next day. They were willing to deal on the car's price, went the extra mile to get us the car that night, and didn't pressure us at all. We did have to go back the next day to get the remote for the DVD player, but that was only thing missing. All in all, it was a good buying experience. |

| About two weeks ago, the DW and I purchased a 2004 Sienna LE w/ #4 package for $25,500. The MSRP was $28,499. Had a great buying experience with the dealership and would recommend anyone to check them out, especially at month-end when sales quotas need to be filled. We love the van and can't wait to use it on a road trip to Walt Disney World! | |
