Well you did better than I did locally. I was only able to get $1800 off of MSRP...Maroone told me they would do $2500 over cost...nice guys, huh. I gave a deposit but then when I though about it, net of my trucking expense, I was saving 2200-2400 dollars. Better in my pocket. I can't email from the location I'm at but I will e-mail you later today and give you my salesmans name...you should probably talk to him since he's just been down that road with me. The van was a $37,753 list price. I also found out that they aren't making any more or if so very, very few with the HF package (#5). It comes w/ rear spoiler, DVD w/ headphones, 2 115V outlets,etc...Also, Artic Frost was extra cost and I got the Z1 package which isn't even offered as a complete package in FL. And best of all, they don't load their cars up with fluff like "TOYOGUARD" like they do in the south. I also got wheel locks and Z1 package comes with floor mats, door sill protectors, first aid kit, and cargo net. I wound up getting vehicle for $33,763 including the dealers $100 over. It cost $550 to truck down. They were great to deal with so far...car should be here today or tomorrow the latest. I can't wait. The only thing with ordering out of state is that you have to come up with lump sum of taxes when car is in FL. They also gave me a good rate on financing...3.19% for 60 months. Locally, I live less than 2 miles from Maroone Toyota. Hollywood seems to be a better dealer to deal with. Also, one other thing to consider re: DVD players. I've heard that you want to get the factory installed because it's not RF controlled...ie tuning in a radio station to hear audio on movies. For one thing, if you go on a trip, you will have to change the local station as signal fades and you also get static no matter how good the reception is. Hardwired is much better. As far as warranty, they were expensive. There's a dealer "Midway" Toyota in Pocomoke MD that has the 7year 100K mile warranty w/ 0 deductible for $815 (Platinum). You have to ask for finance manager to get that price.

2002 Toyota Sienna CE/1999 Sienna LE/2000 Ody LX? by alyssazmom

We are looking to possibly buy a 2002 Sienna CE with power locks/windows/mirrors, am/fm/cd, and the standard stuff. 26K miles, Green/Tan colors.

The Honda dealership is asking $14,960 for the Sienna.

There is also a certified 1999 Sienna LE with 54K miles on it as well. Toyota dealer is asking $13,900. Black/Tan colors.

Or our final choice, a certified 2000 Honda Ody LX, 40K miles, CD player and roof rack are the only added options to this one. The Honda dealership (different from dealer mentioned above) is asking $15,400 but I'm hoping to get them down to $15K.

I looked at kbb.com and Edmunds.com and all three seem to be amazing prices. The dealers swear that with the new Sienna out and the Ody being an LX not an EX, they have to price them low to move them.

Any advice?

Thanks!

Carrie

I Know How Davenow Feels by bondguy1

WOW.That's all I can say! Got the van today. The Arctic Frost looks awesome when it's cleaned up. Car only had 4 miles on it...took it to get washed...had two different people ask me about it at the carwash...I kept thinking "it's a toyota...and a it's a van...it's not like it's a new Lexus or something...although it's pretty damn close to that feeling when your driving it. One thing that is a little annoying compared to my 2001 Chrysler van is that with the Toyota, you have to unlock all the doors before you can do the back liftgate or side electric doors. Does anybody know if this can be programmed to open these three doors by pushing the buttons only?

Advice on a 2004 CE by owner2b

Not many people seem to be buying 2004 Sienna CEs. Any reason why? I am looking for a 2004 CE - any pricing or other info welcomed from you all.

Also, what is TDA (pardon my ignorance)

Thx

TDA = Toyota Dealer Advertising Its a fee Toyota supposedly charges to the dealers to cover the cost of all the wonderful sienna ads you see on tv and in print... In turn the dealers pass that charge onto you… If you negotiate on the Out the Door Price all this is invisible… However if you insist on seeing the dealers invoice for a vehicle… I’m sure you will see a line for TDA.

I think the reasons many people opt for the LE instead of the CE, if you look at the price few a few $$$ more you get cruse control, tinted glass, illuminated visor mirrors, heated outside mirrors, rear bumper protector (what ever this is), steering wheel audio controls, engine immobilizer, Roof rack, powered read quarter windows, rear ac and so on… Then if you add on any package you get the homelink computer, power right hand door and more… This all starts at only $1400 more (base CE MSRP to base LE MSRP).
In the end the LE will resale for more then CE models... Good luck... yuo cant go wrong with any model.. We LOVE our LE.. We were ever more glad we ended up with a higher package BJ vs AM...
Yes its more money... But over 5 years its only a few $$$ more a month...

Appreciate your time and advice. Will look into a basic LE. I was actually going for a CE plus an Option pkg that has some of the stuff you mentioned in an LE, so I will do an apples to apples comparison to make sure what has the best deal and availability.
Edmunds says to expect (their TMV or True Market Value price) to pay the MSRP for the CE! How can that be?

MSRP by garnerj

Right now Edmunds says MSRP or close to that for all models...

My Advise would be to email as many dealers in your area ask them for their best Out the Door price. You will quickly find out who insists on charging MSRP and who is willing to deal....

It’s also funny I also emailed, later after purchase, some of the same dealers and the ones quoting MSRP also want to charge $55 for an oil change… Seems like others charge $29…

Owner2b, TMV is what the average buyer is paying for a Sienna in your area. Some pay more, some less.

Thx guys. Appreciate the tips/info/advice. Now looking into an basic LE with the airbags option pkg. Garnerj - nice correlation with oil change prices - you may have hit upon an easy "indicator" of "willingness/ability to negotiate" - worth pursuing for all owner2bs

i think the only way to make any of the doors activate with the remote is if all the doors are unlocked so... You would have to push the remote unlock button twice (so that all the doors unlock) before activating any of the door buttons. i think..

anyone else who would know differently please chime in and correct, but i think i'm right?
