Seems like most of your questions were answered but to be complete about my experience I'll add the following:
The price on website + 100.00 Processing fee
+ 540.00 freight + 15.00 temporary tag fee= total price paid. I live in michigan so I'll pay sales tax and fee to transfer plates there.

It appears the dealer cost on the 7/100k platinum is about $770. It is available easily from a Toyota dealer in the mid atlantic for $810 ($40 over cost) without negotiation. Details are posted on another forum on the internet, but it is against the user agreement to post the link here.

Hey, I'm in Florida. I was ready and gave a deposit (refundable, of course) down here. But the NH deal was too good to pass up. $600 to truck it down here. Still saving a ton...about $2300 net of shipping it!!! And, savings at 6% tax of about another $150 based on selling price.

Thanks much; good post. Yes or no, will I find the link to the other forum thru a Google search?

$770 is exactly the figure one finance manager gave me for his cost on the 7yr/100K, 0 deductible warranty. Two others gave me very different, and much higher, amounts.

So, who to believe? That's why, based on my own experience, as well as that of others who've recently posted here, I've suggested figuring dealer cost on any of Toyota's extended warranties at about 50% of Toyota's list price, and negotiating from there.

I wasn't aware of it, but it's good to know you can get this warranty for $810 thru a dealer online, without the hassles of negotiating, no less. (DEALERS TAKE NOTE!) I'm sure that dealerships sell this warranty all day for hundreds more, and most buyers figure that they are getting a good deal if they get a discount of $100-$200 off list. If only they knew.

So, henchforth, anyone who wants this particular warranty should pay no more than $810. QED.

Soon to Purchase? by drfulm

I am planning (hopefully) to order an XLE with package #12 and CF tomorrow. The dealer is currently asking $30,280 + TTL (MSRP $32,871, invoice $28,957. They also happen to have that exact combination (in our color) on their lot. The only issue is that it has nearly 300 miles on it already. My initial perception is that I would prefer to order one and wait 6 - 8 weeks rather than purchase one with that many miles. However, if I could reduce the price to say $29,500 + TTL, I may consider it.

Any thoughts on the deal, or on buying a van with that many miles?

Just wondering if impact01 would tell me the name of the toyota dealer in the mid atlantic area that will sell an extended warranty for $810? It's alright to name dealerships just no links or salesperson.

XLE Package 12 by drfulm

Just took delivery of an XLE Package 12 with CF. Price paid $29,650 + TTL. I also received a set of splashguards (not installed).

The van did have 300 miles on it already. It apparently was the only van available for test driving for the month of December. I would have preferred one without any miles, but that would have been $700 more.

Also purchased the 7/75K platinum ($0 deductable) for $495. I'm not sure if I could do better than that somewhere else or not.

Overall, very pleased with the deal and with our limited experience with the van.
