I took delivery on an XLE FWD with #14 on 8/15. If you browse back to the july timeframe, you can find my posts on difficulties in ordering. It's my conclusion that dealers/salesperson fall into one of three categories:

1. Ignorant of how to order packages that are not "standard" for their region
2. Too lazy to send the one email required to reconfigure an allocated order to the desired configuration.
3. The very few that are willing and able to do so. I bought from Tuscaloosa AL Toyota. Email me for more details. My wait from day of deposit to day of delivery was 31 days. (Mine was built the week prior to the shutdown/slowdown.)

Hi:

We are thinking of buying the base model and wondering what anyone paid in Canadian $ for their Sienna. Do you know what the vehicle cost the dealer, or any suggestions you can give us when buying this vehicle.

Thanks.

Sienna LE deal by lok888

Despite the production halt, I finally see some progress in shopping for a deal on Sienna (LE, 7-seater with LE pk #7) here in MA. I sent emails almost every deal here and only five replied. Two out of five insist MSRP. Another two offer $500 off. The best that I can get is $900 off. I asked for $1000 off but they have to check with the manager or want to see some deposit. Should I make a move now? Some suggested that I should wait until more Siennas in the lot (maybe in Spring) and they just want to put me out of the market now with months of waiting.

Canadian invoice pricing is hard to come by, especially for free. There are one or two services that provide invoice and holdback info for a fee.

What region of the country are you in? In the central atlantic distributor area (VA,MD,WV,PA,DE,NJ) The breakdown is as follows on model 5346 Sienna XLE: 20% ordered with FR (package #12) 60% ordered with GH (package #14) and 20% ordered with GJ (package#16). These numbers are based on our August TVO. Try finding a dealer that will work with you to get this package.

You're probably looking at late September, mid October delivery times due to the 2 week halt in production we just experienced.

I'm in PA. I have a dealer in Wilks-Barr willing to sell me a Phantom Gray XLE #14 (GH) off of his existing allocation due to come in late September/early October. He has not said that he can make any changes, either in color or package. Can he do that? He's willing to go $1000 under MSRP. Will I really see delivery in late September/early October, or should I expect the 6 week delay I've heard about elsewhere?

I've also been in contact with a dealer in Pittsburgh who will order me exactly what I want - Blue Mirage XLE #5 (CZ) at $1000 under MSRP with delivery set for Thanksgiving. Do you think that is realistic?

On a side note, I found a web site for a fleet dealer that puts an order today at delivery at Christmas. (Of course, that's a fleet order and may not represent the general consumer)

Any comments would be appreciated.

TIA

We are not as priveledged as our American friends when it comes to disclosure of invoice prices. In earlier discussions it would appear if you take 8% off the MSRP you will have a reasonably close figure to work from. Although I don't have the base model I have driven one and found it to be a great ride. Just received a copy of Liesure from CAA and it has an article on tests of the Sienna by everyday people. They gave it high marks on all models. If you can get a copy from your CAA office it maybe worth reading. I have a XLE and I am very satisfied with it. Hope your not in an Access price area or may not find any discounts. In Ontario you can buy for under MRSP. Good luck.

I am new to this board and live in MA, as well Can you mention the name of the dealership in MA that gave you $900 off MSRP for a LE Package #7, or at least the city? It is the same one we are considering. Thanks a lot!
