Hi Everyone,
Can anyone tell how is the priceing Sienna after toyota recall ?. I have seen the MSRP of Sienna are over priced with option packages.
I have toyota camry 98 nearly 110000 miles.Car wise Camry is excellent. I am driving camry for last six years.
Yesterday I drove nissan quest. Test drive was good. I have not driven on a highway.
The features and price wise quest is much cheaper comes(such as NAV,DVD,Leather,Sonar,Power windows etc) than Sienna. I am unable to decide between Quest & Sienna. I have not done test drive of Sienna.
   Pls make your suggestions.

I've watched this board for a few months following the trends of the new mini-vans from Toyota and Nissan. I finally made a purchase after a day of negotiating at Planet Toyota in Matteson Il.
They offered a 4% discount off MSRP. 3% was for being a member of Sams's Club and 1% customer loyalty (my wife had purchased a 2000 Solara from there). Completed deal on an XLE with Pkg. #14 and carpet for about $1400 off MSRP of $33,811.

Best deal I could find for a Toyota Sienna,in the area. The vehicle was a cancellation from another buyer and was just off the truck.

They had three other LE vehicles with pkg #1, but I wanted traction control.

I read all the posts here, and when I read that in other areas, people were getting under MSRP, I was thinking I would be able to as well. However, in the PA/NJ area, it's MSRP or walk away. In fact, they are getting over MSRP in some cases.
I put a deposit on my van when the dealership told me that they had 3 XLE's coming in. In this area, they were coming with the pkg.#12. That's what I got. It took 2 weeks to arrive.I paid MSRP(begrudingly because I love a good bargain.)However, the dealership ,NOT the salesman, did try to sell it to someone else who offered them more than I was paying. (which was MSRP!!). So, a lot of these posts I've read are most likely dealership problems made to look like the individual salesman's fault. My salesman was a friend, and I had to get there within hours of it coming into the dealership before it was sold out from under me by a higher bidder. It was crazy....
However, I absolutely love this car!! My husband has a BMW, and I think it has a drive that is as nice as his. It is upgraded galore, although no moonroof or dvd, but I did get a number of a local place to put it in-courtesy of my salesman, so it'll have everything I could want in a car. I was not a big minivan fan until I got into this car. I can't say enough about it.
It is a little wider and longer than my previous SUV, and pulling into my garage can be tricky because it doesn't allow much leeway- my salesman told me to also be careful of the trunk, in some garages, it may hit when open. But, this car is amazing. Never thought they'd get a minivan to look/ride like this. It's worth every penny of MSRP.

Please, does anybody have any hints on where to get good deal above invoice in the Detroit/Lansing SE Michigan area.

None of the dealers I talked to have a clue on whether they can obtain a vehicle, but all quote MSRP.

Steve,
I went from the Jeep Cherokee, which I never really liked, to the 04 Sienna....The Sienna is definitely wider and longer, which presented a little struggle first time pulling into the garage...but,I love it, and can't find enough reasons to drive it!!
Thanks for all the info on the boards..it helped me be a more informed consumer.

I know the feeling and my minivan is a bit smaller than yours. Watch out for your mirrors when you back out

i am amazed. because usually the price in LA is cheaper than san fran by quiet a bit.

$1800 off MSRP was offered by Dublin Toyota by their internet manager. This price was matched by my local dealer (fremont toyota) and toyota of palo alto. All dealer in the area were willing to give at least $1,000 off sticker.

sylshop - I've just started looking for a Sienna in the SE Michigan area. Just test drove my first Sienna yeterday and loved it! Actually had trouble finding a dealer that had one to test drive (found a CE at the Toyota dealer in Farmington Hills). No advice for you yet, but I'll let you know what I find. I have time before I really need the van, so I may end up ordering and waiting (assuming customer orders are being accepted).
