Internet Quote and sales-lady called Next Day and she even mentioned to locate a car for me while I am waiting for order , Should I decide to Place an Order. I did not place an Order because they are about 200 miles from my home & I want to Test-Drive my van before Delivery because 2-3 people have reported severe Transmission Problems. Infact, 1 had problems in 24 hours and finally got full transmission replaced. (Go to 2004 problems posts.) Since I currently have 4 vehicles with same problem and I do not want to become next victim of premature transmission failure because it is a harrassment convincing dealers who won't Acknowledge & from my experience they cannot even fix it because I believe most Transmission & Engine problems are Design and Build Problems. Apart from good price, I prefer dealer to be not too far, should I encounter other problems because You have a better chance of getting Better Service from the dealer you Bought-From. But I am happy that atleast "Bennett Toyota in Allentown PA" has some competition whose price is $850 (approximate 3.5% over Invoice) Plus some Attitude. For e.g. they have not called or got back to my request yet in a month which tells me what to expect after order and delivery. |

Some of these posts are starting to get misleading. No one should state a set dealer fee and say that is what the dealers percentage over invoice is for all Sienna's. Doing this is only valid if we are all buying the same model with the same options. Since $850 over invoice seems like a popular number, I will use that figure as in example. $850 over invoice on a CE with few options is going to be a higher percentage then an loaded XLE. Straight price over invoice benefits those buying the higher end Sienna's. Granted the dealership will make up money on other things. But a set markup over invoice is relative to what you are buying. My 2 cents!!! |

after hearing about premature Transmission Failures , now we are in dilemma already I canceled my order , delear returned me , my $500 Deposit , may be it's better to wait for some more months and let's see Nissan Quest also. after reading posted messages , It Implies that Toyota Just concentrated on Body design to attract the buyers not on the Engine Quality , pickup , etc |

| Assuming the readers of this discussion have shopped or are actively shopping for 2004 Siennas, I wonder if you can help with a question about relative availability. I have read about how long it often takes to 'order' a Sienna with a specific trim and option package. However, does anyone know if they are making a lot of specific types that are more readily available than others? For example, they might be making a lot of CE option package 3s and you can get them pretty quickly, but you have to order a LE package 11, which are rarer and take longer to get etc. etc. (speaking hypothetically). We are primarily interested in CEs and LEs. Thanks in advance. | |

I just visited one local Toyota dealer in the Canton area. Test drove a Sienna LE (the demo; they only had one in stock) The salesperson then got the production schedule and priced out a Sienna LE with Option Package #5 and carpeted floor mats for $26,936 (MSRP). OTD price came to $28,423.02. He wouldn't even photocopy the quote but scribbled everything down on a piece of paper. Is this what I can expect from other Toyota dealers in this area? If so, the hell with the Sienna! |

Bennett Toyota is/was offering the $850 over invoice. When we went there to see if the post was true, my husband specifically asked what was the price of the van. The sales lady insisted that he had to tell her what kind of van he wanted, Ce, Le, XLE, etc.. After we told her Le-7 with package #8, they looked it up and wrote it on the "contract". They showed us in their books what the invoice was at the same time. She mentioned that it is possible that the van might come in with some extra packages, such as Z1, and that might increase the the price by about $100 or so. She said we had the option to wait for another van or we could pay cost for the "extras" jmjbrt posts the same van from this same dealer for about $622 less than what I have written on my invoice. We might bring this up when we go in to pick ours up, but I am not going to pull my hair out if they give us some lame excuse, as long as they keep their word with what we had. Maybe he had a different deal. I will be calling this week to follow up on the status since it was to be built 6-2 |
