Sorry for the delayed reply. I bought it from Toyota of Dartmouth MA. Best sales experience. No pressure no nothing; no dealer extra but for floor mats.
Here is the break up
XLE Base 29,750 (no DVD, navigation) , with rebate.
Add ons: 450 (floor mats, mud flaps, clear bra, roof rack cross bar)
doc fee: 299
Tax : 2000 (approx)
They had to find this car from a near by dealer which had all these addons already. Otherwise, I would have paid just 150 for the floor mats.
Got the 1.99% from DCU.
Overall, it was a great buying experience. Requested quote through Zag, following day got a call from their internet sales department, they looked for a car to my preference, adjusted the price for add ons(reasonable), bought the car the next day. all through emails and phone. very impressed with their service. Highly recommend. BTW, they are very responsive and will followup with you for every move they make.
#11398 of 12252 Is this a good quote

I recieved a quote for $300 under invoice but has $810 destination charge, $739 advertising fee, $399 prep fee for Sienna XLE with Entertainment package, Roof rack crossbars, Lower door molding, Carpet floor mats and mudguard. Can the advertising fee and prep fee be negoitated away? So the quote is $300 below invoice, but has $399 added back in and the invoice includes the destination fee and advertising fee. Thoughts? Sticker is 37097 and quote is for 34700 (includes all the aforementioned fees) before tax, title and reg.

Tell them you charge a $739 fee for having to watch all their advertising.
Sheesh. That's the worst I've ever heard of. Crazy.
I would merge that with the $300 under invoice and consider that a $439 above invoice price quote.
#11400 of 12252 2011 Sienna XLE w/Nav - Is this a good quote?
Jul 27, 2011 (6:16 pm)
Base - $30338
XLE Nav Package (NV) - $2933
Roof Rack - $110
Pref Accessory Package - $254 (Carpet floor mat set; Door sill protector; Cargo net; First aid kit)
Fuel/Admin Charge - $13.96
Handling Fee - $810
TDA (??) - $587.0
Total : $35045.96
Dealer is asking $500 over this invoice price so - ~$35.5k + Sales Tax / License etc (~9.5%)
Out the door = ~$38.922k
Edmunds TMV - $35.826k
True Car Value - Factory Invoice is $35055 and Average Paid in my area - $36.039k.. They also show dealer cost as - $34.396k
My specific questions:
a) Can I and should I negotiate this further down?
b) Is 9.5% about what I should expect the tax/license costs to round up to? (I live in Northern California)

Hi, $500 over that invoice is high. Go to Truecar.com and type in your options and see what it produces. You should be getting something below invoice prior to the $1000 rebate. I've had many offers at $300 below invoice.

ecolorado, this is one of the worst quote and fees that I have seen. Without including the 1000 rebate, your quote is off by almost $2500. You can do better.

Truecar.com shows the best value is $500k below invoice - ~$34.5k.. Can I trust this number and negotiate it at it? Just wondering if there really is room to negotiate down by $2500 like u suggest. Feel too deep..
