Have any of you tried to check for fuses in the panel above the dash. We found fuses in our Mark III there and they ran the TV and VCR and DVD player up there. We did not know that they were in that area so we had taken to a business who works on them and they show us for next time to look up there. You have to be able to take the TV part out to get into that area. Also if you have a handicapped lift recently installed check to see if they when installing it did not put a screw in the wrong place putting the mood lights back up in the ceiling. That also happened to us and the lights seemed to be out when the power was really on and the battery was dead within days for about 2 weeks before they found the little screw that had caused the whole problem. It was too long and hitting and frayed the wire and when it got so bare it shorted out finally.

Hope this helps alittle....

The only other suggestion would be take to a business that installs radios,cd players, TV and VCR in vehicles and they will find the problem.

#370 of 377 '99 GMC +100K miles --> what to watch for? by amannjoy

We have a '99 GMC Savanna Conversion van (V8) that we use to tow our popup camper - with an additional electronic brake system installed. Last summer when we took it over the Smokey's we really felt the additional load on higher upward inclines. This year we plan another camping vacation and will travel through Chattenoga. What advice do you have to help us prepare the van for another long trip?

I suggest looking into gmc conversion vans. I've owned several and enjoyed them thoroughly.

Mar 18, 2010 (7:01 pm)

not sure im in the right place to do this but if you all had any ideas let me know...
i own a 1996 dodge conversion van. I now have no use for it so i would like to sell it.
It has a new transmission, new catalytic converter, tires are less than a year old, new battery, four captains chairs, the seat in the back folds out into a bed, tv, vcr, cupholders and ashtrays throughout, back area "trunk", spare tire on back, side entry, stream lighting on interior roof of van, heat/ac, am/fm radio, 185,000 is probably the only downside.... then again with the new tranny and all its fine... engine runs great.... would like to sell it for 6,000 but will take best offer... if you all know of anyone interested you can email me at mlong18614comcast.net

Thanks!!

#376 of 377 Replacement part by steve305

May 13, 2010 (3:41 pm)

I have a 2000 Dodge 1500 Discovery conversion van from Sherry Designs. I am looking for a rear a/c fan assembly but I have no idea who manufactures the parts for this van since Dodge parts were not used for the conversion. Does anyone have any idea where I can look?

Thanks

www.v-sales.com/repair.htm would be a really good site to get parts for any conversion van needs. I have used them several times in the past for parts and they are very friendly and helpful.
