I fear when and what the next crisis will be, and how non-accidental we all know it will be. Pipeline issue, another down refinery, maybe a war by one our tail wags the dog "allies"...Prices aren't going to be lower again for long.
Speaking of discounts, there's a local station offering something like a 20 cent cash discount on either Saturday or Sunday. Seems steep.

Agree with you and fezo.
Fezo, we have the same thing at some of the stations in the city, credit is higher than cash.
Fintail, with you. You almost hate to watch the world news because something is always going to cause it to go up. Read a few days ago about Mexico refining less...

Sometimes hard to think it is all random coincidence, eh?

Around the UP, I'm seeing regular range from $3.78 to $4.09.

All this with high reserves which should lower the price.

They kept saying getting the Midwest refinery back online and a pipeline fixed would bring the prices down. A few days ago the local station dropped to $4.05, then this morning went down to $3.99.
Wal-Mart up the road dropped one cent to $3.77.

We had stations down in the .29 and .39 range when they ran the prices up. We're still at .69. Guess all those exports are helping hold the prices up here.

Apparently getting that refinery back up caused petrol prices to go up as well. Add to that the Isaac & pre-Labor Day gouging and we're up to $4.45 in a couple spots in La Grange, $4.26 ~ $4.30 by me, higher in Chi-town.
And yet the refinery in Indy is causing havoc with a lot of motorists due to distributing bad gas.
On to Iowa...

I'm surprised our gas prices haven't bumped back up yet. Both cars are mostly tanked up but we're driving the week after Labor Day so I'm sure $4.50 is just around the corner for us.

Heh, prices jumped so much overnight here it made the radio. Haven't been out of the house, but the radio said Walmart jumped from $3.78 to $3.99 and the local stations nearer to me went to $4.19. Rumor is that the next town over is $4.29.
