#9760 of 10170 got gas today

Filled up the van; ~15 gallons at $4.07.
The big news was that the one sort of close station is no longer ethanol free. They've joined the crowd (and their gas price is now on a par with everyone else too).

Now have 8 miles on that tank from the other day. Naturally gas went down a dime throughout most of Michigan and the local pumps are down to $3.99.
I could have bought a lottery ticket with the savings.

A reporter would like to speak to someone who buys ethanol-free gasoline. If you consistently purchase ethanol-free gasoline (aka pure gas), and you are willing to speak to a reporter about why you purchase ethanol-free gas rather than the E10 blends sold at most filling stations, please email PR
edmunds.com no later than 10 a.m. Pacific /1 p.m. Eastern Friday, April 20, 2012 with your daytime contact information.

slight drop at the local Crown station. I just filled up my '85 Silverado during lunch, and 93 was down to $4.099/gal. Last time I put 87 in was 4/18/12, and it had been $4.299. I also filled up on 5/1/12, but put 87 in that time, for $3.899/gal.
I used to put premium in the truck, because it's getting old and carboned up, and the valves would clatter if I ran 87 in it. But, I found that as long as I don't let the tank get too empty, I can alternate between 87 and 93, with the mixture ending up being around 89-90, and it seems to run fine.
I guess I could just put 89 in it, but that's priced closer to 93 than 87, so doing it this way saves a little money. Or, at least tricks me into thinking I do.
