I filled up at my local cheapo station this morning $2.59 for RUG. On my way back to work this afternoon the priced dropped to $2.57. I don't even mind paying more. I love seeing the price go down almost daily.

BTW, oil was down another $1.75/bbl. The big boys must be shorting the market now.

Rumor has it that Soros made over a Billion last year shorting oil. He probably made it going up and going down. Sad that he is allowed to live outside prison. I think if the truth were known about Soros he is a bigger thief than Madoff.

not sure if it is the same shell station, but i was headed north on 15, and a couple of miles before the shell station there was a sign for an exxon 8 miles ahead, so focused on that and drove right by a shell station. who says advertising doesn't work?

Trip to NYC (missed All-GMs at Carlisle) by 210delray

RUG prices:
$2.49 in Opal, VA
$2.39 in Hillside, NJ (next to Newark)
$2.43 in Pleasantville, NJ

I never buy gas in NYC if I can help it -- the lowest I saw there was $2.75.

The lowest now at home in central VA is $2.43 at BP, although across the Blue Ridge in Staunton, I see Gas Buddy is reporting in the low $2.30s.

No peak for oil this year by gagrice

Last year on the 4th of July oil prices peaked at $145.29. Today oil is at $61. Did they find a large new oil field or were prices manipulated by unscrupulous commodity traders?

Starting to feel like the current prices are unsupportable. RUG dropped 6 more cents today to $2.59 and it NEVER drops here during the arts festival and the captive crowd that needs to fill up to get back home afterward.

Without predicting 99.9 it sure feels like we're going to head lower given the news of the day in the oil markets
