I have not checked Costco for a week. Locally the Shell station is $2.79 for RUG and $2.49 for Diesel. Shoulda, coulda bought a diesel BMW or Mercedes.

I hope something is done to control the huge price swings in oil futures. It is very disruptive to the economy.

We shall see how well he lives up to this promise.

ROFLMAO.

The messiah won't do anything. He was the expert on the economy, unlike his opponent, according to his handlers and ads. We can see what's happened with the economy and all the money spent which won't be spent in any amount to help the recession now that the recession is essentially over. But that excess politicals' spending will hurt the country more than Carter.

And people will continue to stand up and support his lack of follow through. The media will ignore it. And the same two groups would have been ranting daily about Bush43 having done anything close to the level of this guy.

How does this affect gas prices? None. That's the point. Nothing will be done to control speculation. I see the prices slowing the consumer recovery end of the recession, which is already ending financially.

Bad people are behind it. People who already have millions to leave for their heirs, and who want to put the squeeze on the little guy who has, comparitively, nothing. Why?
because he can.

filled up my '76 LeMans with 93 octane for $2.679 per gallon. Prices are definitely creeping up, but looking in the car's mileage log, it showed how bad it could be. The last time I filled up the car was October last year, and that was $2.779 per gallon for 87 octane. So, things could be worse. And probably will be, before we know it.

With prices climbing like they are we have fallen into the situation once more where the prices on the Garden State Parkway are the cheapest around because they only change once a week and that is based on average prices for the last week. When teh spread gets big they start backing the line out onto the road. A coworker lost a car that way last summer.

Just filled the Sequoia at Shell in town. $2.75 for RUG. Diesel at that Shell station is $2.49 today. One Shell station we passed was $2.99 and 9/10ths. $3 gas is back in San Diego. Costco was too far out of the way. Not sure the price there. Probably $2.65 today.

This ought to help the recession along.
