Prince George's County...I haven't had to fill up in awhile now, but it looks like most stations around here are around $2.18-2.30 for 87, and $2.40-$2.50 for 93.

That $1.49 stuff we got briefly around Christmas was nice, but I knew it wasn't going to last.

Gas jumps 25 cents in three weeks (CNN)

Here in Boise, it's right at the national average:

$2.29 regular
$2.41 mid grade
$2.53 premium

Diesel is approaching regular at $2.39 so there's only a dime differential now.

was same as last week, $2.60. City prices are running 10 ~ 15 cents more. A couple of Citgos by work are running at $2.53 for 87 octane. Have noticed diesel is priced cheaper than gasoline.

We're still expecting a price hike within the next day or two for the holiday.

Fuel prices went up another 6 ~ 10 cents, depending on the station. Saw a couple of $2.96 prices for premium last night on the way home: a Mobil station in W. Chicago and a BP in Naperville. both of these stations had regular for $2.76 and mid-grade for $2.86. Looks like I was off about a week or so for $3 fuel - maybe by next weekend it'll be there for regular octane. The city is already at $3 in some spots.

Wonder why we're the lucky ones getting these prices?

Wall Street manipulation and speculation. Make these investors have to actually take delivery if they can't resell it and you'd see oil prices tumble. You read and heard Wall Street start talking up oil a month or two ago and presto - it shoots way up! The ETF's and such "paper only" investment tools are distorting oil prices because they don't own the oil, only paper speculating.

Barry "O" was going to stop that oil speculating. Do you think he remembers any of his campaign promises?
