Local paper reporting Phoenix has gone up 20 cents in two weeks.   I know I paid $1.69 for gas last week then checked another station a few miles away and it had $1.49. I got screwed out of $2.85 I can NEVER get back !!! Replies to this message: fezo (Jan 15, 2009 1:24 pm)

Replying to: larsb (Jan 15, 2009 1:01 pm) The Lukoil that I pass on the way to work actually came down 2 cents today after going up over 20 cents in the last couple of weeks. I don't know if that means things are leveling off or they just got higher enough than everyone else that they needed to come down a little.   They're at $1.59.

was for $1.92 at the usual Jewel. So far this winter am doing pretty well on mileage, considering I'm carrying around weight everyday in the bed for traction.   I also noticed the Gas City by me, which is usually at least 20 cents higher than everyone else, was actually in-line at $1.95 for 87 octane. But it's E85 was at $1.85. There's usually 50 cents difference between that and their regular unleaded. Wonder if the $1.85 is the low point (thought it would have been maybe in the $1.50 ~ $1.60 range).   I read an article this morning on USA Today that stated buyers are moving back to large vehicles / SUVs/Trucks. Not sure if this was from dealers / OEMs to try to spur sales for the behemoths but if it is true, people sure are short-minded and don't learn too well.

Sitting at $1.85 for 87 in State College. We never got down to the $1.39 range that a lot of places with 90 minutes of here did
