What happened to all of the people who said George Bush was lowering fuel prices leading up to the election to help McCain get elected?

BTW the lowest in the Minneapolis area accord to twincitiegasprice.com (where the site was started) is $1.59

Man I wish I still had my Tahoe

I can hardly wait to see if we've had a drop this morning

We're still about 20 to 30 cents higher than the Carlisle area 90 minutes away.

I got you gas under $2 and you are still complaining I am still amazed that San Diego with 67 cents in tax is selling gas for $1.84. That don't leave much for the oil companies, refiners and gas stations.

So far the lowest prices round here are $2.19 what are they up to? Seems there is too much to profit. Is it me or can it be they R waiting for you to buy up those SUV's before spiking the price up again.
Folks it's not a matter of it getting better it's more like we were had! All those TRILLIONs in profit went in someone's pocket at our cost!

>Trillions in profit went...

And they are still going. Percentwise they are still making the same money. (That was the logic that it was okay for them to make more when the price was higher--because it was the same percentage).

Think: At $4.10 / gal, $3.50 was cost of gas exclusive of 60 cents state and federal tax (give or tax). Now the gas is $1.50 locally which meas $.90 is the cost of the fuel. $.90/$3.50 ratio is .27 approx. We're paying 1/4 of the cost a few months ago.

Some really funny things were happening int he financial end of this--all the magic paper trading with no oil behind the contracts. Oddly, the same thing happens with mney in the financial end of the markets for mortgages, lots of funny paper with no money behind it.

I wonder from where our country's economic problems emminate?
