But that's out at the Flying J, too far to be worth it for me. At the majors, gas is $2.09, $2.21, $2.23 and $2.93 for diesel. At the minors, regular gas starts out at $2.05.

Finally caved in a bit to the pressure and dropped to $2.07 here in State College

Last night on my way home from work, I noticed the local Shell in Seabrook, Maryland was down to $2.119 per gallon for 87. The Citgo in Glenn Dale, also on my way home, was at $1.999! My roommate, who works out in Annapolis, was able to fill up for $1.819. He was pleasantly shocked that it was only $28 to fill up his Xterra. One thing that'll be nice, is that I'll be able to fill up my '67 Catalina in one sitting again. The last time I did it, a couple months ago, the pump shut off at $75! |

Replying to: jipster (Nov 21, 2008 5:25 am) Sounds redundant to me. I think it would have been redundant back in the day when leaded gas was still available, and you would specify "regular" or "unleaded". I don't remember anyone ever saying "leaded". But then today, I guess it's used to differentiate the octane ratings...regular unleaded, mid-grade unleaded, or premium/hi-test unleaded?

!!!! $1.46 at a station. Couple of $1.55s. First is a MARATHON and two Speedways (subsidiary of same). The $1.46 is a station that's often int he first 3 to go lower because they're in a high traffic and competitve area. !!!! $1.46 !!!! Excuse my excitement. And I have two full tanks of gas so I can't go fill up!!! Dern. I saw a news story that AAA has declared $1.98 the nationwide average. I feel sorry for larsb, but he did admit it's going opposite of what he wished only a few months back. I have to admit I'm stunned that it's doing this and he's turning out to lose his wish. I also admit I'm concerned about other fuels and methods of transportation being pursued just as much as when gas was $3.75 for our future good in agreement with larsb's actually wishes.
