I almost don't believe it. One area station has RUG for $1.95. I haven't seen it this low since summer 2005.   Here in NY where they tax us on everything I can't believe they are allowing this. Any day I expect our governor to slap an extra buck on each gallon to balance his budget. All the liberals and greenies will hold hands and say it's to save the planet.   And anyone who can still afford the gas will move south.

Replying to: 210delray (Nov 18, 2008 7:13 pm) Virginia tax on gas is 19.6 cents while Ohio is 28 cents. I thought maybe we were cheaper because of lower gas tax for state port. But yours is lower tax.

I realize that here in Happy Valley we're sort of isolated and in a bubble, but while gas prices are crumbling all around us, we're holding steady at $2.17.   90 minutes away in Carlisle people are reporting $1.76

My Hess station was $1.83 reg and $2.17 premium 93.

But that's out at the Flying J, too far to be worth it for me.   At the majors, gas is $2.09, $2.21, $2.23 and $2.93 for diesel.   At the minors, regular gas starts out at $2.05. Replies to this message: imidazol97 (Nov 20, 2008 11:47 am)

Last night on my way home from work, I noticed the local Shell in Seabrook, Maryland was down to $2.119 per gallon for 87. The Citgo in Glenn Dale, also on my way home, was at $1.999!   My roommate, who works out in Annapolis, was able to fill up for $1.819. He was pleasantly shocked that it was only $28 to fill up his Xterra.   One thing that'll be nice, is that I'll be able to fill up my '67 Catalina in one sitting again. The last time I did it, a couple months ago, the pump shut off at $75!
