Well, if the typical 20-30K vehicle owner has the suggested income of 15-20K per month, it should be no hassle...

The regime is stating there's no plan to do anything in Iran...that'll be the event that starts the new pricebloat.

...the typical $20K-$30K vehicle owner really has an income of $1.5 to $2.0 a month! Somebody forgot the decimal. I recall being in a discount store in a rather shabby neighborhood with a clerk bragging about her new $31K SUV. Now, how can a clerk who works in a store that makes Fred G. Sanford's business look like Neiman Marcus make enough to buy a $31K SUV?

Anyway, I see that Sunoco Regular is now up four cents to $2.69. Ultra is already $2.97. I'm planning a trip to Niagara Falls with my girlfriend this July. If I drive up in the Park Ave and the price of gasoline is $4 a gallon by then, it'll cost me $138 in fuel costs alone assuming the car gets an average 24 MPG. The round trip will total 828 miles. Maybe I should borrow Mom's Aveo?

Good observation fintail. I forgot about Iran. If we go to war. I guess $5 dollar gas will be in store for us. Well that is until somebody gets impeached.

Here was the original quote, that I wrote: "A typical person buying a $20K - $30K vehicle may not care whether it costs $150/month or $200/month for gas. The difference is probably less than 1% of their household income."

Fintail somehow misinterpreted this. This means that the typical person who's buying a new car is not going to really care if they pay an extra $50/month for gas (200-150), when they are buying a new car. $50/month x 12 months = $600/year. $600/year is probably < 1% of a new car buyer's household income.

The Seville gets about 25 MPG on the highway but is awful in city driving. She also prefers Sunoco 94 Ultra. I guess I spoiled her. She likes to go to Le Bec Fin whereas my Park Ave is happy with Mickey D's.

Ya'll have 94' Octane WOW.....That is spoiling a car. The STS's are aure nice. I might buy me another one. Something like my 2002'. OTOH if GM offers some good lease deals on the "new ones" I'd probably bite the bullett and own one since I like em' so much.

I suppose that makes more sense. Kind of random numbers though.

Of course, with the gouge and retreat gas pricing structure, it is difficult to predict a yearly gas expense.

It takes premium of course, but the mileage is OK and I have a short commute and work 4 days a week...so it doesn't hurt me. Commute + recreational driving + errands is almost always under 100 miles per week. I do take 500+ mile road trips now and then though.
