"And what do you propose the trickle-downers should do about it? "   I propose they do nothing, because I am a realist, and I know they will do nothing. Their pockets are the ones being lined. More supply side garbage.   20mpg in town is fine with me.   I'd love to see the "market forces" we are lied to so perpetually that caused even this minimal price increase. Of course, the masses, who are going to have to pay more to enable further reverse socialism doled out to the greatest entitlement segment of society, are just not privy to such information.   Defer! Conform!

Most stations have dropped 2 cents to 2.979 87 Reg 3.079 89 Mid 3.179 92/93 Prem

....I was out in the burbs last weekend, and gas literally was the same price as on the north side of Chicago. Also, jesmann, when I lived in St. Louis, it was MUCH cheaper than in Chicago (I travelled between the two regularly), but apparently not now. Last night, most stations were $2.97-3.09 for regular (most at $2.999). I don't understand why there was a price difference between Chicago, the suburbs and St. Louis when gas was a dollar, but not when it's $3.

Chevron - 2.87/2.97/3.07   I don't understand the 2 cent raise we had for about 10 days, now it's back to the Katrina levels.

Down to $2.69 for 87 and $2.99 for premium in State College on Saturday

The two Exxons near White Flint are both $3.24 for regular now.   $3.09 down the street at the Chevron, but several pumps were out of order (they had not run out of any gas, so that was odd).   Also $3.09 at the Getty on Montrose, so I filled up there.   -juice

I see that it's down to $2.62 at the Flying J, but as I haven't been out yet today, I can't say if we dropped again here.   Once I make the after-basketball-practice run, I'll know   Maybe I should bill for these parent/chauffer deals??? LOL
