Up 2 cents here at the Chevron I patronize....for no particular reason than just a little more profiteering, I am certain.

The market is broken, the trickle-downers need to realize it.

"The market is broken, the trickle-downers need to realize it."

And what do you propose the trickle-downers should do about it?

Here's one solution: USE LESS GAS.

What kind of mileage are you getting in your MB? 20mpg?

Let's keep this to reporting local gas prices and not get into trying to prove something here.

Not a shocker, but discussing gas prices has been a regular part of our chats lately. Stop in tonight and we can kick them around some more.

I propose they do nothing, because I am a realist, and I know they will do nothing. Their pockets are the ones being lined. More supply side garbage.

20mpg in town is fine with me.

I'd love to see the "market forces" we are lied to so perpetually that caused even this minimal price increase. Of course, the masses, who are going to have to pay more to enable further reverse socialism doled out to the greatest entitlement segment of society, are just not privy to such information.

Defer! Conform!

...Central VA. My Frontier is down to half a tank; the Camry to 5/8. Can I ride it out this time before prices go back down? We'll see....

....I was out in the burbs last weekend, and gas literally was the same price as on the north side of Chicago. Also, jesmann, when I lived in St. Louis, it was MUCH cheaper than in Chicago (I travelled between the two regularly), but apparently not now. Last night, most stations were $2.97-3.09 for regular (most at $2.999). I don't understand why there was a price difference between Chicago, the suburbs and St. Louis when gas was a dollar, but not when it's $3.

Chevron - 2.87/2.97/3.07

I don't understand the 2 cent raise we had for about 10 days, now it's back to the Katrina levels.
