That sound like crap to me. Like he said, this is a common problem of the Solara! Remember this is a Toyota. Why would "normal" wear and tear take place so soon? Sounds like you need to elevate the situation to a higher level. First talk with the main service guy. If he denies your warranty, the write a letter to him and include the dealer manager and the dealer owner in it. Once the sales guy sees you sent this letter to his superiors, things usually start to happen. It is unfortunate you would have to go this route. Just stay polite and cordial, and you will be suprised of the result.
